Blurb

Loosely inspired by Stanislaw Lem’s 1961 novel Solaris, s0laris_czarny is the second in a series of four procedurally generated three-dimensional fractals, animated by the interplay between a set of mathematical algorithms and the differing spectral frequencies of the accompanying soundscape.

In Lem’s novel, the planet Solaris orbits twin stars, one red, one blue, and is covered by a vast gelatinous ocean given to sudden eruptions of immense, ambiguous, intricate structures, which, despite signs of extraordinary extraterrestrial intelligence, remain resolutely incomprehensible to human observers.
